Hosea Jaffe
South African economist, historian and writer, author of numerous works on African history and the world economic system. He has taught in South Africa, Kenya, Addis Ababa, London and Luxembourg; he has been visiting professor in African, Indian and European universities. In 1943 he was co-founder of the Non European Unity Movement of South Africa, in whose activities he participated until 1960; in 1989-90 he gave a speech at the Cape Town conference of the New Unity Movement. He subsequently held numerous conversations and lectures in South African meetings and universities.
