Hanna Lévy-Hass

Hanna Lévy was born in 1913 to a Sephardic Jewish family in Sarajevo. She was a fighter in the Yugoslav resistance movement. In 1944 she was arrested and deported to Bergen-Belsen, and later escaped from a transport to Theresienstadt. Her diary covers the period August 1944-April 1945. After the war she settled in France.
